Salt City Trucking is hiring a CDL-A Semi-Local Driver for a dedicated building materials account based in Amherst, NH. Expect to cover approximately 1,334 miles weekly and be home 1–2 nights per week. Trucks are modern and trailers are curtain-side flatbeds, with no NYC deliveries and a focus on repeat customers.

Shifts run Sunday-Thursday, with early start times and long shifts. A $85,000/year base plus a $5,000 bonus is offered, plus $20/hour safety pay and boot reimbursement up to $100.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Clean driving record and valid DOT Medical Card.
• No SAP drivers on this account.
• Must secure loads with straps and re-straps as needed.
• No tarping required; steel-toed boots required; no passengers allowed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver doors, mouldings, stair parts and other building materials to customers.
• Maintain a dedicated semi-local building materials account based in Amherst, NH.
• Operate 53' curtain-side flatbed trailers and unload freight from the side.
• Average about 1,334 miles per week with home 1-2 nights per week (not guaranteed).

Earn $85,000 per year on a dedicated semi-local building materials account based in Amherst, NH. Deliver doors, mouldings, stair parts, and specialty building products to repeat customers throughout New England and New York while averaging approximately 1,334 miles per week. Drivers may be home 1-2 nights per week , but home time is not guaranteed.

Shift Details

• Sunday-Thursday
• Start times: 4:00 AM-5:00 AM
• Typically 5 days out

• 12-14 hour shifts
• Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's off
