Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A local driver for a dedicated building materials account in Washington and Oregon. You will deliver concrete, fiber, and siding on curtain-side trailers with approximately 1,800 miles per week and daily home time.

Earn $76,000 per year plus a $10,000 bonus with opportunities for overtime and a sign-on incentive. Typical shifts are Monday–Friday, 12–14 hours, with occasional Saturdays and up to 6 holidays off.

Qualifications

• Must chain as weather dictates
• Must wear PPE and account-provided uniforms

Responsibilities

• Deliver concrete, fiber, and siding on curtain-side and flatbed trailers in WA/OR
• Secure and tarp freight; strap loads as needed
• Operate on dedicated building materials account with ~1,800 miles per week
• Live unload freight at customer sites; load pickups 2-3 times/week in Halsey, OR
• Take advantage of 6 major holidays off with option to work for extra income

CDL-A Local Building Materials Driver – $76K + $10K Bonus

Earn approximately $76,000 per year on a dedicated local building materials account offering daily home time , online orientation, and a $10,000 bonus. Deliver concrete, fiber, and siding throughout Washington and Oregon while averaging approximately 1,800 miles per week.

Pay Details

$76,000 per year

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,500
• $10,000 Bonus
• Drivers receive $0.01 CPM yearly increases until reaching a maximum of $0.53 CPM
• $75 annual steel-toe boot allowance

Job Details

• Dedicated building materials account
• Approximately 1,800 miles per week
• Deliver concrete, fiber, and siding on curtain-side trailers
• Delivery territory: WA and OR
• Pick up raw material loads in Halsey, OR approximately 2-3 times per week
• Remaining days are spent delivering to local lumber yards
• Drivers may choose to run up to 5 Halsey pickups per week
• Freight is live unloaded at customer sites
• Must strap all loads and tarp as needed
• Drivers will be trained on both curtain-side and flatbed trailers
• Flatbed experience preferred
• May assist other DCS/JBI accounts as needed
• Assigned automatic day cabs
• Trucks must remain at the account during time off
• Online orientation available

Shift Details

• Monday-Friday
• Start times: 3:0 AM-5:0 AM
• 12-14 hour shifts
• Occasional Saturday work based on customer demand
• Optional 6th day available for additional income
• All 6 major holidays off , with the option to work for extra income

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
• Clean driving record
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• No SAP drivers
• Must be willing and able to chain as weather dictates
• Must wear required PPE and account-provided uniforms
• PPE includes hard hat, safety glasses, reflective vest, and steel-toe boots
• Account provides all PPE except steel-toe boots
• Must be comfortable securing and tarping freight
