Job summary

Salt City Trucking is hiring a CDL-A Semi-Local Driver for a daytime Midwest route with home weekly. You’ll run multi-stop deliveries across the Midwest and Chicagoland, mostly drop-and-hook with no-touch freight, and about 2,200 miles per week.

Shifts run Monday–Friday with 3–6 AM starts, 12-hour days, and a weekly reset. Home 1–2 nights per week, weekends off, and Thanksgiving/Christmas off. Excellent pay with bonuses for attendance and performance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with at least 6 months of verifiable experience.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days; costs reimbursed.
• Clean driving record and DOT Medical Card.
• Hazmat endorsement within 90 days (costs reimbursed).

Responsibilities

• Multi-stop deliveries across the Midwest and Chicagoland.
• No-touch freight with 85% drop-and-hook.
• Load split: 60% drop-and-hook / 40% live load.
• Live loading/unloading averages about 1 hour.
• Optional 6th day for additional income.
• Thanksgiving and Christmas off; New Year's Day worked.

• $100 weekly attendance bonus when working 5 days
• $6 every 15 minutes at pickup/delivery stops
• Outsource work: $225-$350/day
• $0.01 CPM yearly increases up to $0.64 CPM
• 2,200 miles/week
• Holiday pay effective immediately

Job Details

Job Requirements
