Job summary

Salt City Trucking is hiring a CDL-A Semi-Local Dedicated Retail Driver for a high-pay route with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and home weekly. On this dedicated route you’ll average about $105,000 gross per year, with weekly home time and 2-3 days at home during each shift.

You’ll haul general freight to retail stores with no-touch freight, drop-and-hook pickups, and occasional live unloads. The schedule is Friday through Tuesday with start times 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, and training provided at East

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable CDL-A experience.
• DOT Medical Card.
• No SAP drivers.

Responsibilities

• Haul general freight to retail stores.
• No-touch freight.
• Drop-and-hook pickups from customer distribution centers.
• Deliver to stores, including two Long Island locations; no NYC deliveries.
• Delivery may include drop-and-hook or live unload.
• Live loads/unloads at third-party backhaul locations.
• Backhaul pickups throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey.
• Approximately 2,350 miles per week.

Earn $105,000 average annual gross pay on a dedicated retail route with $5,000 bonus and weekly home time. Drivers typically get through the house 2-3 days during their shift, plus their weekly reset.

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Pay: $2,100
• $5,000 Bonus
• Daily Rate: $20/day when all 5 scheduled days are worked
• Safety Training Pay: $20/hour

Shift Details

• Friday-Tuesday
• Start times: 10:00 AM-2:00 PM
• Drivers typically get through the house 2-3 days during the shift
• Home weekly for a 34-hour reset
• Routes may vary during peak season, October-January
• Rotating 6th days may be required around Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
• Holiday work is not guaranteed to be off

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable CDL-A experience
• Clean driving record
• DOT Medical Card
• No SAP drivers
• Reliable personal transportation to and from work
• Flexibility to support other accounts when needed

Equipment & Training

• Assigned automatic trucks
• Slip seating may be required when units are down
• Trucks parked at the East Brunswick terminal during time off
• Drivers start and end their day at the East Brunswick yard
• Onboarding is approximately half a day
• Account-specific training lasts approximately 8 days
• Personal vehicle required during local training
