Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver with home daily schedules and strong earning potential. Earn an average of $75,000 per year with a $10,000 bonus and 100% no-touch freight for intermodal pickups and deliveries to Chicago rail yards.

The role offers daily home time, a Monday–Friday pattern, and ramp training to help you grow. Starting pay is competitive, with pay increases over time, and ramp training is provided for several days.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months truck driving experience
• DOT Medical Card
• Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire
• No SAP drivers
• No smoking inside the truck

Responsibilities

• 100% no-touch intermodal freight.
• Daily runs to Chicago rail yards.
• Approximately 1,500 miles/week.

CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver – Good Pay + $10K Bonus | Home Daily

Earn $75,000 average annual gross pay with daily home time, a Monday–Friday schedule, and strong additional pay opportunities. Enjoy 100% no-touch freight and paid ramp training.

Pay Details

• Average Annual Pay: $75,000
• Average Weekly Pay: $1,500
• $10,000 Bonus
• Starting pay: $0.48 CPM , increasing $0.01 annually up to $0.55 CPM
• All hub miles paid loaded or empty
• $65 customer live load
• $40 customer drop/hook
• $25 per Hazmat load
• $30 per refrigerated load
• $15 per empty move
• $23–$55 per crosstown drop
• $20/hour rail delay pay after 1 hour
• Ramp training: $250/day for at least 5 full days

Job Details

• 100% no-touch intermodal freight
