Job summary

Transporting Logistics is seeking a Local CDL-A Driver to operate from the Walmart DC in Shafter, CA. This local route involves no-touch freight with home daily time, typically 2 consecutive days off per week, and weekend work with two days off.

Responsibilities include delivering to Southern California locations and backhaul coordination. Trucks are modern and well-maintained with automatic transmissions; slip-seat operation.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license required.
• 2+ years of local CDL-A driving experience preferred.
• Ability to operate safely and meet delivery deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate local CDL-A tractor-trailer for Walmart DC in Shafter, CA and deliver to locations across Southern California.
• Maintain accurate logs, safety compliance, and vehicle inspections.
• Ensure timely on-time deliveries and home daily as scheduled.

Walmart - Shafter, CA - Local Driver

Job Description:

• Dedicated account located in Shafter, CA with all no-touch freight.
• Average 2-3 stops, with backhaul back into the DC.
• This fleet get you home daily!

Delivery Locations:

• Deliveries from Shafter Walmart DC to locations throughout Southern California.

Schedule:

• Home Time: Home Daily with typically 2 consecutive days off per week.
• Drivers expect to work weekends but get 2 consecutive days off like Mon/Tues, Tues/Wed, Wed/Thurs or Thurs/Fri.
• Majority of loads depart the DC between 1500 to 2100.

Compensation:

• Mileage Band Pay
• Stop Pay
• Detention Pay
• Safe & On-Time Bonus

Equipment:

• New, well maintained trucks with automatic transmissions, pulling dry van and reefer trailers.
• Trucks will need to parked at the Shafter Walmart DC: 2701 Driver Road, Shafter, CA.
• This is a slip seat operation.
