Job summary

URBN in Gap, PA seeks a Yard Jockey to ensure safety and quality while moving trailers, managing yard logistics, and maintaining equipment. Shift: Wed–Sat, 6:00am–4:30pm. You will back tractors in tight spaces, operate forklifts as needed, and support warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school degree or GED required.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• Must have a current DOT physical.
• Must have an acceptable driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year experience operating tractor-trailer in a yard setting.
• Maintain attendance and work overtime as required.
• Comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety and quality guidelines and regulations.
• Move trailers to doors and set loaded/empty trailers as directed by management.
• Safely maneuver a tractor and trailer in a compact yard area.
• Enter and exit yard tractor safely multiple times per shift.
• Maneuver equipment with safe backing.
• Transport trailers between two facilities across the street.
• Lift and open trailer doors.
• Keep the tractor clean and sanitary.
• Conduct daily trailer inspections and maintain yard order.
• Maintain trailer inventory and door seals.
• Assist in warehouse duties including forklift operation.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor/manager.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Complete assignments within the allotted time.
