Job summary

HD Supply Canada, Inc. is seeking a Yard Switcher to operate a switcher truck within the Flower Mound, TX distribution yard. You will back trailers to docks, perform DOT safety checks, and assist with loading/unloading inventory.

Required: CDL with HazMat, 2+ years of commercial driving, clean driving record, and prior yard jockey experience. This role involves regulatory compliance and daily yard movement of trailers.

Qualifications

• Current CDL with hazardous materials endorsement (Class A or B).
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience compliant with FMCSA/DOT.
• No more than 2 minor accidents in the past 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Prior yard jockey experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a yard switcher truck to move trailers within the distribution center.
• Back trailers to loading docks and connect/disconnect brake lines as needed.
• Perform safety checks and document trailer moves per DOT procedures.
• Move and organize line haul trailers for efficient inventory flow.
• Refuel and maintain switcher truck; support dock workers as needed.
