Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• CDL Class A required to operate in interstate commerce.
• Six months of experience as a package handler or switching/CDL operator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and doors, and assist with loading/unloading as needed.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control.
• Document trailer moves in YMS or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Follow yard switching safety processes and procedures.
