Job summary

Versova is seeking a Driver in Johnstown, OH for local trucking operations, loading/unloading, and movement of trailers between farms. A valid license and possible hazmat endorsements are required; CDL may be needed for larger vehicles.

This role demands safety-first practices and may involve transporting hazardous materials or up to 15 passengers. The position reports to Shipping Manager within the Shipping Logistics department and requires flexibility for overtime and varied weather

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• CDL and endorsements required if operating larger vehicles.
• 2+ years of experience operating a vehicle.
• Endorsements for hazardous materials, if applicable.
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment safely.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate all Material Handling Equipment.
• Raise/lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate company-owned and leased trucks.
• Load, unload, and relocate trailers, materials, parts, and cargo.
• Provide courteous customer service during delivery and pickup operations and follow-up communications.
• Perform vehicle maintenance checks, pre-trip inspections, and reports.
• Maintain certifications for DOT, OSHA, and safety programs.
• Communicate issues to the appropriate department.
• Support and improve overall farm operations.
• May transport hazardous materials or up to 15 passengers when required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Driver is responsible for local vehicle operations involving positioning, loading/unloading, and moving trucks and trailers on and between farms. This role requires a valid Driver's License and involves operating vehicles that may transport hazardous materials or up to 15 passengers. The position may include operating Material Handling Equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate company-owned and leased trucks
• Load, unload, and/or relocate trailers, materials, parts, and/or other cargo
• Provide courteous customer service during delivery and pickup operations and follow-up communications, as needed
• Perform required vehicle maintenance checks, pre-trip inspections, and provide necessary reports
• Maintain all required certifications for DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs
• Communicate any issues or deficiencies to the appropriate department
• Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve overall farm operations
• May transport hazardous materials or up to 15 passengers when required
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Willingness to work in various weather conditions, both hot and cold
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holiday hours as required based on production demand

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in agricultural or food industry logistics
• Familiarity with farm operations
• Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle maintenance

Work Environment

This position involves prolonged periods of sitting, driving, and operating Material Handling Equipment. The work is primarily outdoors and requires the ability to work in severe weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. Regular local travel between farms and occasional deliveries to other local locations is expected. The role may involve transporting hazardous materials or up to 15 passengers, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols and DOT regulations. Drivers must notify the employer of all moving traffic and DOT violations within

24 hours of their occurrence. The job demands a strong focus on safety, adaptability to changing logistics needs, and the ability to handle potentially hazardous materials responsibly.
