Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking a CDL Yard Driver to move trailers and equipment, inspect and report defects, and support yard operations in a challenging, outdoor environment in Nashville, TN. The role requires reliability, safety focus, and willingness to be trained in forklift operation.

The position involves hand-on duties across loading/unloading, paperwork, and equipment maintenance, with a team-oriented culture and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced recycling operation.

Formación

• Minimum of one year of relevant yard, warehouse, or industrial experience.
• Prior experience in tire recycling or manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to learn and operate yard trucks and equipment safely.

Responsabilidades

• Operate yard trucks and equipment safely during procedures involving both loaded and empty containers.
• Transfer and reposition trailers within the yard and designated areas.
• Assist with staging and organizing trailers for loading and unloading.
• Complete necessary paperwork including trailer numbers, weights, and material type.
• Inspect equipment before and after use and report any issues to dispatch or supervisor.
• Assist in loading and unloading tasks as needed.
• Back trailers into designated areas for efficient operations.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth yard operations.
• Adhere to safety standards and company policies at all times.

Job Summary:

The CDL Driver (A) - Yard position requires a qualified individual to move trailers and equipment throughout the facility, conduct inspections of equipment, report defects to dispatch or supervisors, and operate yard and material handling equipment in a dirty, wet, and noisy environment in all weather conditions.

• Maintain yard equipment in good working condition

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable and cooperative team member
• Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and dirty conditions
• Ability to safely operate yard equipment in a fast-paced environment
• Heavy equipment operation experience (excavator, skid steer, loader)
• Ability to learn trailer positioning and backing techniques
• Willingness to be trained and certified to operate a forklift

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of one year of relevant yard, warehouse, or industrial experience
• Prior experience in tire recycling or manufacturing is a plus
