Job summary

North Texas Municipal Water District is seeking a dedicated transporter to support the Wastewater Department in moving biosolids and residual materials between treatment plants and disposal or reuse sites.

Responsibilities include safe operation of roll-off trucks, thorough inspections, maintaining logs, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role requires a Texas Class A CDL and strong teamwork within a day-to-day field setting.

Qualifications

• Maintain basic computer skills relevant to the role.
• Ability to manage emotional responses professionally in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Operate hauling vehicles to transport wastewater biosolids and residual materials safely.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain equipment readiness.
• Load and unload biosolids and residual materials at designated sites per safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with EPA, DOT, TCEQ, TxDOT, and local regulations and record-keeping.
• Complete daily logs, manifests and transport reports as required by policy and regulators.
• Communicate schedules, routes and emergencies with plant staff and dispatchers.
