Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a CDL-B Driver to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal services to customers. You will ensure vehicle compliance with safety standards and complete daily VCRs and reports.

The role requires pre- and post-operation inspections, route adherence, customer interaction, and strict adherence to safety policies. A valid Class B CDL with air brakes is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along designated routes and service customers.
• Read route sheets and follow dispatcher instructions.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and colleagues daily.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag as required.
• Monitor waste quality and respond to spills while following safety standards.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and cleanliness to minimize downtime.
• Complete field reports and productivity sheets as assigned.
• Adhere to company policies and safety protocols.
• Participate in the ReSOP program and other safety initiatives.
