Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Utility Driver in Indiana to service customers by removing trash and recycling, operating various trucks, and maintaining route logs. The role requires accuracy, reliability, and adherence to safety standards.

Candidates must have a valid Class B CDL, a DOT Medical Card, and be at least 19 years old. Willingness to work nights/weekends and strong map-reading skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years CDL truck driving experience.
• Waste industry experience is a plus.
• Must have at least a valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• No DUI/OVI within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal site.
• Operate various types of trucks and/or complete various routes.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day, depending on the assigned route.
• Pick up missed stops and/or routes as needed.
• Deliver trash/recycling containers as needed.
• Replace trash/recycling containers neatly at the curb or designated area.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets.
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs.
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
