Job summary

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) seeks a Warehouse Technician with a CDL to support logistics and materials handling across the agency. The role focuses on accurate inventory management, safe operation of handling equipment, and timely delivery of assets.

The incumbent will perform warehousing duties, maintain records, and ensure asset accountability while collaborating with teams to uphold safety and efficiency in WMATA’s supply chain.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of warehouse/storage experience with inventory and materials management software.
• Experience with barcode equipment and automated data processing systems.
• Commercial Driver's License Class B is required.

Responsibilities

• Custodian of designated facilities and storage location and ensure proper custody of assets.
• Receive, store, and allocate items to support deliveries and warehousing flow.
• Operate WMATA non-revenue vehicles for pickups and deliveries of furniture and office equipment.
• Coordinate inspections for damaged goods and arrange replacements or repairs.
• Maintain files, records, and reports to support financial accounts.
• Operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts) to ensure accountability.
