Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of warehouse/storeroom experience using inventory and materials management software; must have experience with barcode equipment and automated data processing systems.
• Commercial Driver's License Class B required.
• Experience with barcode equipment and automated data processing systems preferred.
• Experience with Maximo, Work Order, PeopleSoft, and Basis systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as custodian of designated facilities and storage locations; ensures custody and safekeeping of assets; coordinates deliveries and pickups.
• Receives and stores incoming merchandise and allocates assets for future deliveries.
• Operates an official WMATA non-revenue vehicle to pick up and deliver furniture, office equipment, and other items.
• Arranges for inspection of damaged goods by claims inspectors or shipping vendors for replacement or repair.
• Prepares, maintains files, records, and reports to support WMATA’s financial accounts.
• Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to ensure accountability.
