Job summary

Gulf Stream Construction seeks a Vacuum Truck Driver/Operator to safely operate our vacuum truck and related equipment for transporting liquids, sludge, slurry, or dry materials across multiple sites. Adherence to safety standards, environmental rules, and DOT regulations is essential.

The role requires accurate logs, efficient loading/unloading, and effective communication with dispatch and customers, while maintaining professional service on every job.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement (hazmat endorsement preferred).
• Clean driving record meeting company and DOT standards.
• Minimum 1–2 years of CDL driving experience (vacuum truck experience preferred).
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, hazardous waste handling, and environmental compliance.
• Ability to pass background check, drug/alcohol screening, and fit-for-duty physical.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a vacuum truck in DOT-compliant fashion and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Load, transport, and offload liquids, sludge, slurry, or dry materials at various sites.
• Maintain driver logs, manifests, and mileage/fuel reports accurately.
• Set up, operate, and monitor truck and vacuum equipment; troubleshoot on-site.
• Complete manifests and timesheets; communicate with dispatch and site personnel.
• Participate in safety meetings and assist with job-site setup and cleanup.
