Job summary

HPC Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in Robinson, Illinois, is seeking a Class A or B CDL Driver to join a safety-conscious team. You will supervise and complete single-task jobs, run turnarounds with management oversight, and support field operations at client sites.

Transitioning military personnel are encouraged to apply. This role requires a valid CDL (A or B), English fluency, and the ability to operate and maintain vacuum trucks and pumping equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Class A License required.
• HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsements, preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, CDL Class A or B and other requirements of company’s driving policy.
• Smartphone required for Electronic Logging Device.
• TWIC may be required.
• Experience operating a vacuum truck.
• Knowledge of operating equipment used in wet and dry vacuums.

Responsibilities

• Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies and procedures of both the company and the customer, including information regarding operations, safety, equipment, emergency response and administrative functions.
• Operate equipment by energizing the pumping equipment and vacuum trucks on the job.
• Examine surfaces cleaned to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Complete duties associated with liquid vacs.
• Direct a crew of vacuum technicians may.
• Transport equipment and personnel to and from customer locations.
• Complete pre and post trip inspections and driver logs and comply with DOT requirements.
• Load and unload hoses.
• Unload vacuum truck at the dump site.
• Provide general maintenance in the field.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills

CDL Class A or B

English proficiency

Smartphone for ELD

TWIC (may be required)

HazMat endorsement (preferred)

Tanker endorsement (preferred)

Emergency equipment operation

Vacuum truck experience

Education
