Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a Vactor Operator to drive and operate sewer-cleaning pump trucks, perform diagnostics, and maintain waste systems in a fast-paced infrastructure environment in the United States.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires a CDL, a safe driving record, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen; travel is required, with varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• CDL license Class A or B with medical card is required.
• Previous experience working in the construction field is required.
• A record of safe vehicle operation is required.
• Good driving record over past 3 years and successful completion of background check, reference check, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate sewer-cleaning pump trucks.
• Perform general diagnostic and maintenance to waste systems.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Conduct pre-shift vehicle inspection.
• Perform laborer duties as needed to ensure timely and quality work; carry out special projects.
• Travel required.

Your Responsibilities as a Vactor Operator:

• Drive and operate sewer-cleaning pump trucks
• Perform general diagnostic and maintenance to waste systems
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Conduct pre-shift vehicle inspection
• Performs laborer duties as needed to ensure a timely and quality job and carry out special projects as assigned

What We Need From You (Our Requirements):

• CDL License, class A or B with medical card
• Previous experience working in the construction field
• A record of safe vehicle operation
• Possess a good driving record over the last 3 years and successful completion of a pre-employment background check, reference check, and drug screen.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday and can include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.

Salary Range

• $22.00- $32.00, depending on position qualifications, job related skills and experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
