Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a Vactor Operator to join our fast-growing infrastructure team in Virginia. You will drive and operate sewer-cleaning pump trucks, perform basic diagnostics, and ensure safety and quality on every job.

Requirements include a CDL Class A or B with medical card, a proven safe driving record, and the ability to pass background and drug screening. We offer a competitive package with health, vision, dental, 401K, PTO, and more.

Your Responsibilities As a Vactor Operator

• Drive and operate sewer-cleaning pump trucks
• Perform general diagnostic and maintenance to waste systems
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Conduct pre-shift vehicle inspection
• Performs laborer duties as needed to ensure a timely and quality job and carry out special projects as assigned

What We Need From You (Our Requirements)

• CDL License, class A or B with medical card
• Previous experience working in the construction field
• A record of safe vehicle operation
• Possess a good driving record over the last 3 years and successful completion of a pre-employment background check, reference check, and drug screen.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday and can include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.

Salary Range

• $22.00- $32.00, depending on position qualifications, job related skills and experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
