Job summary

Vecta Environmental Services is seeking a CDL Class A or B Vac Truck Operator for our Sulphur, LA location. You will operate vacuum trucks to remove waste, liquids, and sludge at client sites while following safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

You will inspect and maintain equipment, document activities, and collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. A clean driving record and safety mindset are required.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record is required.
• Prior vacuum truck operator experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of vacuum truck operations, including setup, operation and maintenance, is preferred.
• Familiarity with waste management regulations and OSHA safety standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maneuver CDL Class A or B vacuum trucks.
• Remove waste materials, liquids, sludge from tanks, pits, vessels and other structures.
• Ensure proper handling, transportation and disposal of waste in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain and inspect vacuum trucks; report issues promptly.
• Follow PPE requirements and safety procedures; participate in safety meetings.
• Document work orders, inspection and disposal records; support project reporting.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
