Job summary

Hogan Transportation is seeking a reliable Utility Driver to provide flexible driving support across the fleet. The driver operates commercial vehicles to pick up parts, support start-ups, and reposition equipment to ensure on-time service and maintain safety and professionalism.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, clean driving record, and 2+ years of verifiable driving experience. You will comply with DOT/FMCSA rules, perform inspections, maintain logs, and deliver excellent customer

Qualifications

• Requires valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Solid understanding of DOT/FMCSA safety regulations.
• Ability to adapt to varying routes and schedules on short notice.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Professional demeanor with strong customer service focus.
• Ability to operate tractor-trailers including dry van and refrigerated equipment.
• Must pass DOT medical exam and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provides driving coverage for local, regional, or dedicated routes as assigned.
• Operates tractors and trailers in compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies.
• Transports freight between terminals, customer locations, and maintenance facilities.
• Assists with new account start-ups by temporarily supporting assigned lanes until permanent drivers are placed.
• Repositions equipment to support operations and maximize fleet efficiency.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Reports mechanical issues, safety hazards, or incidents to supervision.
• Maintains driver logs and trip reports using electronic logging devices (ELDs).
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service and professionalism with clients and team members.
• Assists in yard moves, trailer spotting, or shuttle duties as required.
