Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a reliable Utility Driver to service customers by collecting trash and recycling with a fleet of trucks on multiple routes, safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include pre/post trip checks, maintaining logs, interacting professionally with customers, and adhering to DOT rules. Minimum 1–2 years CDL experience; valid Class B CDL and DOT medical card required; willingness to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years CDL truck driving experience.
• Must have valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card.
• Must be at least 19 years of age and able to pass pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal site
• Operate various types of trucks and/or complete various routes
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day, depending on the assigned route
• Pick up missed stops and/or routes as needed
• Deliver trash/recycling containers as needed
• Replace trash/recycling containers neatly at the curb or designated area
• Clean up waste spills and overflows
• Maintain and update route & driver logs
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service
• Perform other duties as assigned
