Job summary

Ross Education Holdings is hiring a CDL Trucking Instructor for an in-person role in Cedar Springs/Grand Rapids, MI. The position runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with instruction held in classroom, on the lot, and on the road.

You will use the established Ross curriculum to train new drivers, follow the program in place, and help students prepare for state licensing. Health benefits and retirement options are included.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more of recent truck driving experience.
• Valid CDL A - no restrictions.
• Current CDL DOT Medical Wallet Card.
• Must be able to obtain a state of Michigan Driving Instructor License.
• Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors, in all weather, with extended periods of standing and sitting.
• Must be able to get in and out of Semi-Tractor/Trailers and perform all driving related duties.
• Must have patience, flexibility and a willingness to learn.
• Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics.
• Perform related work as required.

Responsibilities

• JOB IS IN PERSON - IN A CLASSROOM, ON A LOT AND ON THE ROAD.
• Follow Ross curriculum and program for training drivers.
• Teach CDL students in classroom and on-road settings.
• Maintain student records and monitor progress.
• Represent Ross with professionalism and integrity.
