Job summary

Nexicse Varieties in Commerce, CA is seeking a reliable Warehouse Associate to unload and move product, load delivery vehicles, and place goods in customer storage areas. You will use hand carts, pallet jacks, and other equipment in all weather conditions.

Duties include verifying deliveries with customers and obtaining signatures, collecting payments when required, completing DOT logs, and maintaining safety checks on equipment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of previous experience preferred.
• Experience operating machinery including forklift and pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Unload product from trailer and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Move product and materials to loading docks and delivery vehicles by hand or with equipment.
• Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures.
• Sort product before loading and unloading.
• Collect money (cash or checks) where required, and turn in all funds collected daily.
• Pickup, load and unload damaged goods and customer returns, and complete necessary paperwork.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities per DOT regulations and company policies.
• Move drums and boxes weighing up to 170 lbs. using a hand truck.
• Complete DOT logs (electronic or manual) and reconcile with company representatives.
• Maintain and safely operate equipment including hand carts and pallet jacks.

Job Duties

Unload product from trailer, by hand or using hand cart/pallet jack, and place in designated customer storage areas. May include transporting product down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions.

Move product and other materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles by hand and special equipment.

Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures.

Sort product before loading and unloading.

Collect money (cash or checks) where required, and turn in all funds collected daily.

Pickup, load and unload damaged goods and customer returns, and complete necessary paperwork.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and JFC policies and procedures.

Move drums and boxes weighing up to 170 lbs. using a hand truck (may include going up ramps or stairs)

Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) logs (electronic or manual as required), company vehicle maintenance reports and reconcile with appropriate company representative as required.

Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to hand cart, pallets jacks, and personal protective equipment.

Other related duties.

1-2 years of previous experience preferred

Experience with operating machinery, including forklift, pallet jacket, etc. preferred

Special Requirements

English language skills (speaking, reading, writing)

Class A CDL or Class B CDL with an acceptable driving record

Lifting/carrying up to about 50 lbs (sacks of rice)

Pushing/pulling over 80 - 100 lbs.

Knowledge of DOT and CDL Regulations

Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).

Strong attention to detail and highly accurate

Pay

$27.53 - $33.69 per hour
