Job summary

Reliance, Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver (CDL) to operate commercial vehicles for delivery and pickup of merchandise and equipment. The role includes loading/unloading as needed, vehicle inspections, and adherence to FMCSA safety guidelines.

The position is full-time, outdoors about 80% of the time, with a typical 10-hour workday, reporting to the Delivery Manager. Qualified candidates possess a CDL and valid DOT credentials, plus strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License and ability to meet DOT requirements, including English proficiency.
• Ability to read, write, and understand delivery documentation and records.
• Successful completion of road test and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor trailers to deliver steel and materials over 100 miles daily.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections per FMCSA to ensure safety.
• Use electronic logging devices (ELDs) to log activities as required by FMCSA.
• Secure loads with chains, straps, tarps, and ensure cargo safety.
