Job summary

Reliance, Inc. is seeking a trained truck driver to operate a tractor-trailer, delivering or picking up merchandise regionally with safety and regulatory compliance. You will inspect, load/unload, and log daily activities following FMCSA rules.

The role requires a CDL, road test, insurability, and MVR standards; minimum two years of commercial driving experience preferred. W2 full-time position located on-site.

Qualifications

• 2 years of commercial driving experience with relevant cargo preferred.
• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) per assigned vehicle type required.
• Successful completion of a road test required.
• Ability to meet company insurability standards required.
• FMCSA drug and alcohol clearinghouse requirements.
• Driver qualification per Federal regulations (49 CFR part 391) required.
• MVR quality criteria per Federal regulations and company policy required.
• Basic knowledge of laws and government regulations for commercial vehicle operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles with a GVWR over 26,001 lbs to deliver or pick up goods regionally or locally.
• Follow safety procedures and secure cargo for transport (tarps may be used).
• Safely maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions.
• Load and unload vehicles as required.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety equipment.
• Record inspection data on DVIR as required by FMCSA.
• Use ELD to log daily activities as required by FMCSA.
• Report traffic incidents, accidents, violations, or vehicle damage to supervision.
• Read bills of lading/manifests for assignment details and verify documents.
