Job summary

Waste Management is hiring commercial drivers to operate heavy-duty trucks for residential and commercial pickups. You will transport waste or recyclables to disposal or transfer facilities, performing safe, efficient routes and maintaining clean work areas.

The role emphasizes pre-/post-trip inspections, adherence to safety and DOT regulations, and coordination with Dispatch to resolve issues and ensure timely service.

Qualifications

• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 18 and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Able to read, write and speak English well enough to interact with the public and complete records.
• Pre-employment screening including drug test and physical.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy-duty trucks per Safety and DOT rules.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and documents checks.
• Backs up and handles containers with care to service locations.
• Communicates route issues to supervisor and completes end-of-day paperwork.
