Job summary

Waste Management is seeking CDL-qualified drivers to operate heavy-duty trucks serving the Florida region. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, follow DOT requirements, and ensure safe, efficient collection and transfer of waste or recyclables.

The role requires English proficiency, 18+ years old, and the ability to interact with customers while maintaining compliance with safety and route procedures. Competitive benefits accompany a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or CDL Class B with air-brake endorsement upon hire.
• 1 year operating a CDL vehicle or 1 year of equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.
• Able to read, write and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle in accordance with Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws.
• Performs pre and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks.
• Immediately reports all unsafe situations or service-related issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required.
• Follows route assignments as directed and completes end-of-day documentation and check-out process.
