Job summary

Lone Star Materials, a specialized trucking subsidiary of Lone Star Paving, seeks an experienced CDL Truck Driver to join the Central Texas operations. You will work with the Trucking Manager to plan schedules, transport equipment and materials to diverse job sites, and uphold strict safety standards in the paving industry.

The role emphasizes dependability, independent work ethic, and familiarity with Texas roads.

Qualifications

• CDL license required with clean record
• Must meet DOT employment requirements
• FMCSA Clearinghouse clear record required
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Organized and detail oriented
• Positive, friendly and professional
• Ability to work in teams or alone
• Promote safety as a culture
• Work safely to avoid injuries
• Collaborate with project teams as needed

Responsibilities

• Transport equipment and/or materials to various job locations.
• Check vehicles for mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance, refueling, cleaning, tire/light inspection and fluids checks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Familiarity with Texas area and roadways.
• Understand trucking and asphalt industry complexities.
• Complete trip tickets and paperwork.
• Use phone and apps to track hours and travel.
• Keep vehicles clean and in company standards.
• Log and perform daily maintenance and inspections.
