Prairie Materials is hiring a full-time CDL Truck Driver to deliver concrete to customers across Illinois and Indiana. You will operate a ready-mix truck, interact with customers on site, and coordinate with the dispatcher to ensure on-time deliveries.

The role offers a competitive wage ($34.40–$38.10/hour, with pay raises every 6 months; after 18 months, $43.00–$47.63/hour) and excellent benefits including health insurance, PTO, 401(k) and a pension plan. Home nightly schedule for many shifts.

Qualifications

CDL Class A or B with airbrake endorsement and no license restrictions.
Minimal experience driving a commercial vehicle.
Experience with a manual transmission commercial vehicle.
3 or fewer moving violations within 2 years.
Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

Drive a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to job sites.
Interact with customers on site during pours and coordinate with dispatchers.
Follow safety policies and procedures and ensure timely deliveries.

This full-time driving position earns a competitive wage of $34.40-$38.10 per hour, depending on location/local. Employees receive a pay increase every 6 months. After 18 months of employment, CDL Truck Drivers earn a competitive wage of $43.00-$47.63 per hour. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CDL TRUCK DRIVER

As a CDL Truck Driver, you drive a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to the construction job sites of customers. Daily, you interact with customers on job sites during each pour. You keep great communication with the dispatcher in the case of scheduling issues such as traffic, slower than expected placement, difficult access or egress, or accidents. Committed to safety compliance, you always follow our policies and procedures. You enjoy helping our customers get their deliveries on time and ensuring they have a stress-free experience!

QUALIFICATIONS

Class A or B CDL with an airbrake endorsement and without license restrictions
Minimal experience driving a commercial vehicle
Experience with a manual transmission commercial vehicle
3 or fewer moving violations within 2 years
Ability to lift 50-100 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders

WORK SCHEDULE
