Delta Constructors in Watford City, ND is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver to operate tractor-trailers safely across varying distances. Duties include pre-trip inspections, cargo securement, route mapping, and efficient loading/unloading while adhering to regulatory standards.

Job description

Brief Description:

The Class A CDL Truck Driver is primarily responsible for operating a large commercial vehicle, like a tractor-trailer, safely and efficiently, while transporting goods and equipment across short and long distances. The Truck Driver is responsible for performing pre-trip inspections, cargo securement, and adhering to strict driving regulations.

Description:

Schedule: 4 weeks ON 2 weeks OFF

• 60 hours per week (opportunity for more)
• 36 weeks ON and 17 weeks OFF (22% MORE TIME OFF!)
• Flexibility for special occasions, family needs, or other accommodations is available

Licensing Information and Requirements:

• Current Class A CDL, required
• Current DOT Medical Card, required

Essential Job Functions:

• Competently operate a tractor-trailer
• Receive, inspect, and transport equipment, material, and cargo
• Properly secures, ties down cargo and heavy equipment
• Uses small hand tools and operates material handling equipment
• Verifies material descriptions, quantities, and quality of goods
• Safely and efficiently handle and unload goods at selected destinations
• Ensure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unit
• Assist in mapping delivery routes
• Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document
• Other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, or Equivalent
• Current and valid driver’s license, with clean driving record required depending on location
• Current OSHA 10 and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) certificates or be able to obtain upon hire
