The CDL Truck Driver supports the mission of Heart of Texas Goodwill Industries by operating commercial and standard vehicles to transport materials, merchandise, donations, trash, and other items to and from specified destinations. This position completes scheduled pick-ups and deliveries, loads and off-loads merchandise and production materials, maintains vehicle cleanliness and inspection records, and operates vehicles and equipment in a safe and professional manner.

Driving record will be evaluated for the past three years. Valid Texas Commercial Driver License required. This role requires the ability to operate commercial vehicles safely and comply with applicable transportation, safety, and organizational requirements.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One to three months of related driving, transportation, warehouse, route service, or material handling experience preferred. Equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may be considered. Valid Texas Commercial Driver License required. Forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, or related material-handling equipment experience preferred.

Enter and exit vehicles, trailers, loading areas, retail centers, plant areas, vendor locations, and other assigned work areas. Communicate and exchange information with supervisors, store leadership, team members, vendors, donors, and other stakeholders. Observe roadway conditions, traffic signals, pedestrians, vehicles, loading areas, and other safety-related surroundings while operating a vehicle or performing assigned duties. Load, off-load, push, pull, carry, and move merchandise, donations, production materials, trash, supplies, and equipment. Frequently bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or move as needed to inspect vehicles, secure loads, operate equipment, and handle materials. Lift, carry, push, or pull materials generally up to 50 lbs.; heavier items may require team lift, mechanical assistance, or appropriate equipment in accordance with safety procedures. Use dollies, forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, carts, and other tools or equipment as assigned.
This position operates in commercial vehicles, retail centers, plant areas, vendor locations, donation areas, and other assigned organizational locations. This position is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions. This position may be exposed to dust, lint, animal hair, fumes, airborne particles, vehicle traffic, loading areas, and moving equipment. Noise levels may range from moderate to very loud depending on location and assigned duties. Safety equipment may be required based on assigned tasks.
