Job summary

Heart of Texas Goodwill Industries seeks a driver to operate standard and manual box trucks for transporting materials, merchandise, and donations between retail centers, the regional plant, and vendor locations in support of daily operations.

The role requires a valid Texas Class C license, ability to read and follow instructions, basic math skills, and strong teamwork. Safety and compliance are emphasized, with use of SAMSARA for inspections and route planning.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Class C Texas Driver's License or higher.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using units of money, weight, volume, and distance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate standard and manual box trucks safely and legally at all times.
  • Complete daily vehicle inspection report in SAMSARA.
  • Pickup, loading & transport of production, merchandise, and donations to stores, plant, and vendors.
  • Assist with outlet duties, mail pickup, and vehicle maintenance as assigned.

Job SummaryOperates standard and manual box trucks to transport materials, merchandise, and donations to and from retail centers, the regional plant, and vendor locations in support of Goodwill's daily operations.Key ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are representative of the essential functions of this position. Additional duties may be assigned as operational needs require.Vehicle Operation & RoutingSelect routing for retail center service and collection of donated items.Operate vehicle in a safe and lawful manner at all times.Complete daily vehicle inspection report in SAMSARA.Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of assigned vehicle.Pickup, Loading & TransportComplete all scheduled pickups daily.Load and off-load production and merchandise for stores, plant, and vendors.Collect and transport trash as needed.Pick up and drop off donation trailers as directed.Equipment & SafetyDemonstrate proper use of dollies, forklifts, hand trucks, and other tools as needed.Utilize appropriate safety techniques for lifting, carrying, and transporting goods, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts.Communication & CoordinationConfirm load drop-offs and receipts with Store Manager or ASM.Assist with outlet duties, mail pickup, and taking company vehicles in for service as assigned.Supervisory DutiesNone.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
