Transdev in Springfield, OH seeks an experienced Transit Bus CDL Driver to safely transport passengers daily, ensuring courteous service and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections and assisting riders with mobility devices.

The role requires a CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsements, 3+ years licensed driving, and strong communication skills. DOT drug testing may apply; position offers stability with regular hours and home every night.

Qualifications

• Must hold CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Have held a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting passengers in a safe, courteous, and reliable manner throughout the service area.
• Assisting in boarding of passengers using wheelchairs or other mobility aids and properly securing wheelchairs and scooters.
• Vehicle vigilance: perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues; keep cleanliness and safety equipment ready.
• Adherence to company policies and procedures; enforce seat belts; emergency readiness; comply with regulatory mandates.
• Other duties as required.
