Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Associate Learning and Development Trainer to deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on transportation training across Pennsylvania. You’ll onboard new hires, cover yard safety, and provide ongoing safety updates while aligning with Amazon policies.

The role includes highway and yard operations coaching, with documentation of training outcomes across shifts. Responsibilities include DOT compliance, route planning instruction, and real-time coaching to ensure safety

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push/pull/squat/bend/reach.
• 1+ years of verifiable CDL driving experience in the last 10 years.
• Eligibility to drive in accordance with DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standardized classroom, virtual, and hands-on training following established curriculum.
• Conduct comprehensive new hire onboarding covering yard safety, equipment operation, and Amazon policies.
• Provide continuous education programs including safety refreshers and operational updates.
• Deliver safe driving techniques and defensive driving principles for Over-the-Road (OTR) Training.
• Ensure compliance with DOT requirements through proper vehicle inspections and documentation.
• Train associates on route planning, navigation, and emergency response protocols.
• Execute yard safety observations and provide real-time coaching to Transportation Associates.
• Support yard operations during high-volume events through yard management and shuttling.
• Partner with site leadership to maintain safety standards and operational excellence.
• Maintain accurate training records including attendance, completion, and safety observations.
• Track and report training metrics while providing feedback on program effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with Amazon policies, safety protocols, and DOT regulations.
• Your day might begin with a virtual training session on compliance updates or safety protocols, then hands-on yard training, and later over-the-road coaching with associates.
