Job summary

C&S Chemicals is seeking an experienced Tanker Truck Driver to safely transport hazardous materials in liquid bulk. Regional routes offer weekly home time and overnight options as needed.

You will load, transport, and unload materials while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, performing inspections, and using ELD for hours of service. Growth potential with a reputable chemical solutions provider.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Class A CDL, Tanker and Hazmat endorsements required.
• At least 24 months verifiable CDL experience within last 36 months.
• No more than three moving violations and one serious violation in 36 months.

Responsibilities

• Safely loads, transports, and unloads hazardous materials in liquid bulk tankers.
• Operates trucks in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Completes pre- and post-trip inspections per USDOT rules.
• Maintains hours of service using ELD.
• Wear PPE and follow SOPs for filling and discharging materials.
• Couples/uncouples trailers and secures vehicles.
• Reviews BOLs and load documentation for accuracy.
• Performs routine vehicle maintenance and emergency roadside repairs as needed.

Primary duties will include loading, transporting, and unloading materials at various locations while ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Drivers can expect regional routes, home weekly with overnight routes as needed. Your responsibilities will include:Safely drives and operates trucks in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Follows all company and government-mandated safety regulations and policies.Completes all pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with USDOT regulations and company policies. Utilizes electronic logging devices (ELD) to maintain hours of service logs in accordance with USDOT regulations.Must wear PPE including, but not limited to, masks, gloves, chemical suits, boot coverings, eye, ear, and face protection, as required.Follows appropriate standard operating procedures (SOP) for filling and discharging materials.Couples or uncouples trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting or disconnecting air or electrical lines, or manipulating fifth-wheel locks. Cranks trailer landing gear up or down to safely secure vehicles.Checks all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy. Reads bills of lading (BOL) to determine assignment details. Collects delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.Performs basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs.Perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs or tire chains.Perform other duties assigned by management.Who You Are:We’re looking for ambitious go-getters who have:Willingness to put our customers first.Capable of maneuvering vehicles and equipment in confined environments.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Key Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED preferred.Class A CDL (unrestricted) required.Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements required.At least 24 months verifiable commercial vehicle operating experience within last 36 months operating similar equipment as type used on a public highway in interstate and/or intrastate commerce.
