Job summary

The Switcher II-CDL at Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company, LLC is responsible for transporting full and empty trailers between docks and designated drop parking in the Trailer Yard to support inbound unloading and outbound loading. You will inspect trailers for mechanical issues before moving, tag out as needed, and communicate findings to warehouse management and fleet maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of work experience.
• PIT certification is preferred.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• May operate a forklift or other PIT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Transport full and empty trailers between docks, public roadways, and designated drop parking spaces.
• Inspect trailers before transporting to identify issues of mechanical maintenance needs or safety hazards.
• Maintain organization of the trailer yard to ensure efficient and safe transport of trailers.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area and warehouse.
• Perform other tasks including pallet building as determined by management.
• May perform duties other than switching as assigned.
