Job summary

Traf-Mark Industries in Piperton, TN is seeking a CDL Striping Laborer to join our roadway operations team. This role involves outdoor work installing pavement markings and traffic safety systems across the region.

You'll load and transport equipment, assist with layout, perform prep work, and help maintain vehicles and PPE. We value teamwork, safety, and a strong work ethic, with on-the-job training and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction/roadwork/manual labor/with heavy equipment preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A or B license required.
• Reliable work history and strong work ethic.
• Flexibility to work overtime, nights and weekends as projects require.
• Value teamwork, safety, and personal accountability.
• Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening.
• Experience outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with roadway layout and pavement marking installation.
• Load, unload, secure, and transport equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Operate trucks and company equipment as assigned.
• Perform roadway preparation activities (grinding, sealing, tape removal).
• Conduct vehicle inspections and maintain logs.
• Support traffic control operations after certification.
• Maintain PPE and tools, and report safety concerns.

We are looking for candidates…

• With previous experience in construction, roadwork, manual labor, heavy equipment operation, transportation, or a related field.
• With a valid CDL Class A or Class B driver license.
• With a reliable work history and strong work ethic.
• Who can work flexible schedules including overtime, nights, and weekends as projects require.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a member of our roadway operations team, you will assist with the installation and maintenance of pavement markings and traffic safety systems throughout the region.

• Assisting with roadway layout and pavement marking installation.
• Loading, unloading, securing, and transporting equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Operating trucks and company equipment as assigned.
• Performing roadway preparation activities such as grinding, sealing, tape removal, and surface preparation.
• Conducting vehicle inspections and maintaining required logs and documentation.
• Assisting with traffic control operations after receiving company certification.
• Maintaining assigned equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Participating in all required safety meetings, training programs, and certifications.
• Maintaining clean, organized vehicles, shops, warehouses, and job sites.
• Reporting incidents, hazards, and safety concerns according to company procedures.
