Job summary

Ashland Community & Technical College invites applications for our part-time CDL adjunct faculty pool. These are temporary, part-time positions used to fill classroom vacancies as needed when regular full-time faculty are not available due to increased enrollment, workload, or scheduling: days, evenings, weekends.

Classes are face-to-face only. Teaching will focus on on-the-range and over-the-road activities with possible tutoring.

Qualifications

• Must hold Kentucky Class A CDL and have driving experience.
• Prefer 2+ years classroom/road/range CDL instruction experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist instruction on-the-range and over-the-road activities and tutor students as needed.
• Provide instructions in theory and practice in CDL areas.
• Maintain classroom order and discipline.

Job Duties

Teaching assistant to help with instruction on-the-range and over-the-road activities and may do tutoring for students as needed. Provides instructions to students in both theory and practice in the particular area of instruction. Maintains classroom order and discipline.

Minimum Qualifications

Commercial Driver’s License –Experience and demonstrated competencies in commercial transportation. Must hold current Kentucky Class A CDL License. Must have CDL driving experience; prefer a minimum of two (2) years. Preference will be given to applicants with experience as a classroom, road and range Class A CDL instructor.

High School diploma or equivalency.
