Job summary

Harrell’s LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time route driver to efficiently plan routes, operate a spreader, and load materials for golf course applications. You will deliver and pickup products, maintain logs, and ensure safety at all times.

The position requires a CDL Class A, high school diploma or GED, and at least two years driving experience; you must meet DOT regulations and be able to lift 60 pounds. Company offers Day One benefits and ESOP.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Degree or GED equivalent preferred.
• Two years’ experience as a driver preferred.
• Must maintain a current and valid CDL license and physical certification (Class A).
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist dispatcher with planning route to insure most economical use of time and equipment.
• Operate a spreader vehicle and spread fertilizer on golf course.
• Operate truck mounted crane to load spreader vehicle with fertilizer.
• Deliver and pickup products to customers and obtain receiving tickets.
• Maintain contact with dispatcher via radio/phone and report delays or problems.
• Maintain truck mileage log as required by DOT regulations.
• Perform routine inspection on equipment and refer defects to supervisor.
