Job summary

Great Dane LLC is seeking a Spotter truck operator to move trailers within the facility and to the security station for final inspection. You will inspect equipment, maintain a clean work area and follow all safety rules while backing trailers and maneuvering in tight spaces.

This role requires a CDL if road driving is necessary, and applicants should have yard jockey experience and the ability to move trailers on various surfaces, with a focus on efficient, safe operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive safely on all staging area surfaces.
• Able to back a trailer into the bay and stage area.
• Able to read trailer numbers and documentation.
• Must pass driving test.
• Move/park trailers indoors and outdoors on various surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Drives spotter truck to move trailers in/out of the building and to the security station.
• Performs inspections and checks (oil, water, gasoline, tire pressure).
• Reports maintenance malfunctions.
• Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Observes safety and security procedures.
• Performs other routine duties as necessary.

Education

GED or high school diploma

CDL license (required if road driving)
