Job summary

The City of New Braunfels is seeking a Solid Waste Operator I–III to join the Public Works department in the Solid Waste division. Under supervision, operate and drive collection equipment to serve residential and commercial routes, with safety at the forefront.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, and a valid Class B CDL. Benefits include competitive medical/dental/vision, retirement matching, volunteer time off, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Class B Texas CDL required.
• At least 2 years of experience operating solid waste/recycling collection vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Collects solid waste and recyclables on established routes.
• Drives and maintains collection vehicles and equipment.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance.
• Follows safety procedures and SOPs; reports hazards and incidents.
• Completes daily logs and reports; attends training and meetings.
