Job summary

Valet Park of America is seeking a part-time CDL Shuttle Driver to operate in Poughkeepsie, NY, from 3pm to 7pm with additional campus events on occasion. You will drive newer 25-passenger shuttles, assist passengers, and perform safety inspections while maintaining a courteous, professional demeanor.

The position offers 90-day health/dental coverage for full-time, vacation eligibility after one year, and room for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL with passenger endorsement and a valid medical card.
• Background checks, SORI checks, drug and driving tests will be conducted.
• Must be over 20 years old due to insurance requirements and customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them as needed.
• Safely shuttling customers to various destinations.
• Opening and closing doors for patrons.
• Adhering to traffic laws/signs for safe operation.
• Communicating with customers and co-workers, including radio contact with management.
• Completing required pre-trip inspections.
• Recording passenger counts and trip times.
• Completing necessary paperwork for daily operations.
• Assisting in setup and break down (signs, cones, etc.).
• Sweeping shuttles and removing debris for cleanliness.
• Filling in as a lot attendant when needed.
• Reporting mechanical problems to management.
• Operating wheelchair lift and securing chairs as needed.

DRIVER- Shuttle Drivers needed to drive in Poughkeepsie, NY.

We provide shuttle services for Marist University.

This posting is for a PT driver to work 3pm-7pm, as well as other events on campus.

Drivers will also be able to work additional hours at times with Charters and other OT work available around the area, including Windham Mountain and the Albany area, if so desired.

CDL drivers start at $25/hour.

The vehicles are newer walk-on 25-passenger shuttles with wheelchair lifts that are cleaned and maintained regularly.

Full-time help is eligible for Health/Dental insurance available after 90 days (50/50 split) and paid vacation after one year. Room for advancement!
Must be over 20 years of age due to insurance requirements, customer service experience is a must!

A valid license with a CDL with a passenger endorsement is required. A valid medical card is also required. Background checks, SORI checks, drug and driving tests will be conducted.

Shuttle Driver- Job Description

The job responsibilities of a Shuttle Driver may vary depending on the location where the employee is scheduled to work. The responsibilities include but are not limited tothe following:

• Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we can
• Safely shuttling customers to various destinations
• Opening and closing doors for patrons
• Adhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttles
• Communicating effectively with customers and co-workers. This includes radio contact with management, shuttle drivers, and lot attendants
• Completing required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirements
• Recording passenger counts and trip times
• Completing necessary paperwork involved in daily operations
• Assisting in equipment set up and break down (i.e. signs, cones, etc.)
• Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanliness
• Filling in as a lot attendant when needed
• Communicating mechanical problems with shuttles to management
• Complying with company procedures for shuttle operations
• Operate wheelchair lift as needed, and secure chairs with tie-downs as needed
