Job summary

Valet Park of America in Hartford, CT is seeking CDL Shuttle Drivers for our client-shuttle operations. We offer flexible shifts (FT/PT) with routes throughout the day and night, and opportunities to earn more on weekend charters.

Start pay is $21.50 per hour, with benefits including health/dental insurance after 90 days and paid vacation after one year. Must be 21+, have a CDL with passenger endorsement, and a current medical card.

Qualifications

• Must be over 21 years old.
• Customer service experience is required.
• CDL with passenger endorsement is required.
• Valid medical card is required.
• CORI checks and driving tests will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Greet patrons in a polite manner and assist them as needed.
• Safely shuttle customers to various destinations.
• Open and close doors for patrons.
• Adhere to traffic laws and signs to ensure safe shuttle operation.
• Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers, including radio contact with management.
• Complete required pre-trip inspections to meet safety standards.
• Record passenger counts and trip times.
• Complete necessary paperwork involved in daily operations.
• Assist in equipment setup and breakdown (signs, cones, etc.).
• Sweep shuttles and maintain cleanliness.
• Report mechanical problems to management.

DRIVER- Shuttle Drivers needed to drive in Hartford, CT.

We are looking to add to our Hartford area CDL shuttle team, we operate for multiple different clients with shifts all day and night.

CDL drivers start at $21.50/hour. Weekend charters are also available to make considerably more if so desired.

The vehicles are late model walk-on 25-passenger shuttles that are cleaned and maintained regularly.

Full-time help is eligible for Health/Dental insurance available after 90 days (50/50 split), and paid vacation after one year. Room for advancement!
Must be over 20, customer service experience is a must! A valid CDL with passenger endorsement is required. A valid medical card is also required. CORI checks and driving tests will be conducted.

Shuttle Driver- Job Description

The job responsibilities of a Shuttle Driver may vary depending on the location where the employee is scheduled to work. The responsibilities include but are not limited tothe following:

• Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we can
• Safely shuttling customers to various destinations
• Opening and closing doors for patrons
• Adhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttles
• Communicating effectively with customers and co-workers. This includes radio contact with management, shuttle drivers, and lot attendants
• Completing required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirements
• Recording passenger counts and trip times
• Completing necessary paperwork involved in daily operations
• Assisting in equipment set up and break down (i.e. signs, cones, etc.)
• Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanliness
• Communicating mechanical problems with shuttles to management
• Complying with company procedures for shuttle operations
