Job summary

Furmano Foods is seeking a Shuttle Driver (Jockey Services) to safely operate a tractor-trailer for shuttle runs and yard jockeying between Furmano’s facilities and local storage locations. You will handle loading/unloading, documentation, and timely communications with partners.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, DOT medical, and forklift certification. Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and teamwork is essential for this heavy-duty position in Northumberland, PA.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and several years of driving experience.
• DOT physical, drug test, and driving test as required.
• OSHA forklift certification (or maintain current certification).

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer safely for shuttle runs between Furmano’s and local outside storage locations.
• Perform yard jockeying and trailer moves to support shipping/receiving.
• Load and unload pallets by hand; operate forklift and hand jack as assigned.
• Complete paperwork and WMS transactions accurately and timely.
• Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders about schedules and issues.
• Perform customer deliveries as needed.
• Report damages and discrepancies and escalate as needed.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain dependable attendance; follow schedule.
