Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking a Shuttle Driver DOT to operate shuttle buses safely and transport passengers to their destinations efficiently. You will greet customers, provide directions, and maintain an exceptional service experience while wearing a uniform.

The role requires a CDL with Passenger Endorsement, a valid DOT Medical Card, the ability to work 3rd shift or weekends as needed, and a clean DMV record. Training and benefits are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education or 1 month of related experience.
• Valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement.
• A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
• Availability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends depending on location hiring needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and efficient shuttle operations for passengers.
• Perform vehicle inspections and maintain clean interiors; fuel buses and log trips.
• Be punctual, in uniform, and carry a valid driver’s license at all times.
• Maintain acceptable DMV record and report accidents or safety hazards to management.
• Know the local garage, streets, landmarks, and freeways to assist customers.

Responsibilities

An SP+ Shuttle Driver DOT will be responsible for the proper and safe operation of shuttle buses and transporting passengers, ensuring they reach their destination efficiently, safely, and seamlessly.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver an exceptional client and customer experience guided by the SP+ Promise, answering questions, offering city directions, and ensuring each customer interaction is positive.
• Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
• Be at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
• Possess and carry a valid state‑issued driver’s license at all times while on duty.
• Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
• Report any known accidents, violations of company policy, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc. to the garage office.
• Substitute for cashiers or valets when authorized.
• Have thorough knowledge of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways to assist customers with seamless transportation.
• Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items when operating shuttle buses at an airport location.
• Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Less than high school education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

License Requirement: Valid CDL Class A, B, or C Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement.

DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate is required.

Availability to Work: May need to work 3rd shift and/or weekends depending on location hiring needs.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to present information effectively in one‑on‑one interactions with customers and employees.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide two‑digit numbers and numbers in tens and hundreds, and perform these operations using units of American money.

Appearance: Must maintain a neat and clean appearance and wear complete uniform at all times.

Physical Demands: Must stand, walk, use hands to handle cash and equipment; occasionally sit, climb, balance, and lift or move up to 75 pounds.

Salary Range

$22.00 per hour
