Job summary

AmeriGas Propane, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to operate a propane service vehicle, perform repairs and installations for residential and commercial customers, and occasionally handle delivery duties.

You will follow all safety policies and wear PPE. The role requires a valid CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• DOT physical, drug test and background check completed.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom on assigned routes.
• Repair existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers.
• Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers.
• Perform delivery of bulk or canister propane when required.
• Comply with all federal/state codes and AmeriGas safety policies.
• Wear required PPE at all times.
• Work 8 to 12-hour shifts as needed.

Service Technician at AmeriGas Propane, Inc., the nation’s largest propane distributor.

AmeriGas serves over 1.5 million residential, commercial, industrial and motor fuel propane customers across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom along provided service routes.
• Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers.
• Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers.
• On an as‑needed basis, perform Delivery Representative functions, such as delivering bulk or canister propane.
• Perform all daily functions in a safe manner by adhering to all federal and state codes and regulations in addition to all AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures.
• Consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment.
• Work 8 to 12‑hour shifts as required by fluctuating needs.

Requirements

Pay: $36.00 to $36.00 per hour. Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance‑based bonus or commissions depending on position.
