Qualifications

• Attain CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements.
• Possess a safe driving record as demonstrated by their MVR report.
• Complete new driver training course within ninety days of hire.
• Complete state requirements for Learner's Permit.
• Complete behind-the-wheel training.
• Pass driving assessment.
• Pass the State-required DOT drug screening and physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate school buses safely for students to and from school, field trips, and extended trips.
• Deliver students safely and maintain order on board.
• Monitor student behavior and intervene when necessary.
• Perform pre- and post-trip safety inspections and add fluids as needed.
• Complete all required forms and paperwork.
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication.
• Conduct routine safety drills and bus evacuations.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with first aid when needed.
• Supervise and train attendants on the bus.
