Job summary

City of Corpus Christi is seeking a Sanitation Operator II (CDL Driver) to operate tractor trailer units in support of transfer station and disposal operations. You will safely collect residential refuse, recycling, brush, and sludge while training and operating multiple sanitation vehicles.

Requirements include a Class A or B CDL with Refuse/Recycling/Brush endorsements, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in related sanitation work.
• Class A or B Driver’s License – Refuse/Recycling/Brush required.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer units to support transfer station and disposal operations.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and document labor hours.
• Interact with the public to provide Solid Waste services and attend events.
• Train and operate refuse and recycling collection vehicles, including various loaders and grapples.
